Dr. Salim Yusuf MD, BS, D. Phil, FRCP (UK), FRCP (C), FACC
Dr. Salim Yusuf is the Founder and Executive Director of the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), a joint member of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics, a cardiologist at the Hamilton General Hospital, and a professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University.
Dr. Yusuf’s research interests include the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and societal, biologic and, genetic determinants of population health in developing populations. His team’s studies are conducted in 86 countries in all of the inhabited continents of the world.
In 2013, **Yusuf was named an Officer in the Order of Canada.[7] He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. In 2014, he was awarded the Canada Gairdner Wightman Award and was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.[1] In November 2020 he received the McLaughlin medal of the Royal Society of Canada**
Subaida Valiya Mannathal Hanifa

Subaida, steering committee member of the network of Ontario Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Services (oncaips.ca)is a visionary leader and an active global community volunteer.
A McMaster University Nursing graduate, Subaida holds several professional certifications, academic and professional achievement awards.
Subaida has several years of experience working in Mental Health and Addictions, Corrections and Forensic– held various positions including administration, project management, educator and worked across sectors – hospitals, communities, university student health, correctional and forensic treatment facilities.
Subaida has played an instrumental role in helping to create the Ontario Network of Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Services (ONCAIPS) and more recently, was one of the leads in contributing to and publishing the ONCAIPS Collaborative Provincial Child & Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health Standards.
Dr. Nisha Nigil
Dr. Nisha Nigil is an Internist and Endocrinologist working as Assistant Professor and Staff Physician at Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She has a keen interest in knowledge translation and has won the prestigious PSI Graham Knowledge Translation Award. Dr. Nigil has had advanced training in clinical epidemiology and research from University of Toronto. Her research is focused on metabolic bone disease and thyroid nodules. She has won several awards including Young Investigator Award from Endocrine Society, USA
